a little about me.

i was born and raised in the pacific northwest. i spent my childhood surrounded by the magic of the forests; i built fairy houses, swam in the rivers, ate wild blackberries, watched coastal sunsets, and ran barefoot through the woods. to this day i hate shoes and want to be barefoot as much as possible. i'm also raising a little forest fairy who is becoming increasingly curious, especially when she has our dog, zelda, by her side to protect her.

i got my first dslr when i was about 12 or 13 years old. i took a lot of photography classes, i was involved in yearbook my senior year, and all roads in my life have led me back to a camera. i'm a creative person and i am always looking for new ways to make art, support others so they can make art, i'm just...a big supporter of the arts lol. i'm a user experience designer by trade so making art a part of my everyday life is a core value of mine.

my spirituality is something that becomes increasingly important to me as i get older. i have a deep appreciation for the earth and everything she has given us. nature is an integral part of my work and my life in general and i hope that shows.

behind the name.

in norse mythology, there are the norns. they are the goddesses of fate. the names of the trio of norns are rrðr, which means “what once was”, verðandi “what is coming into being”, and skuld “what shall be”. verðandi's name in particular comes from the word verða, which translates to "to happen" or "to become." a reminder to stay present. life is made up of only small moments, and i'm here to capture yours.
